We thought we'd share some of what makes us special:

Sanford Airport is a great place to fly just for fun or to do some training. It has two long runways and lots of instrument approaches plus plenty of parking.

During the summer the FBO also has a great garden filled with herbs, vegetables, and flowers -- during the season you might walk away with some zucchini or tomatoes!

The pilots and friends of the airport and Southern Maine Aviation are what makes us special. We have some colorful characters, riveting conversation, and a great spirit of camaraderie.

There's a wealth of history here, and new history being made every day with exciting new projects and events.

We have a WWII PBY-5A undergoing restoration here, an annual Red Star Yak rally, a great open house and air show, and some great antique classic aircraft on the field. Stop in and say hello sometime!
