Instrument Currency Package ($230)
- 15 minute simulator familiarization flight
- 1 hour ground instruction refresher session
- 1 hour in the simulator accomplishing intercepts, tracking, holds
as well as 2 full-panel approaches and 1 partial-panel approach
- 1 hour in the simulator performing 3 additional approaches including
various failure or weather scenarios
Depending on weather conditions, you may also substitute time in your own airplane for the 3 final approaches. Or if you would like to use one of our Skyhawks for these approaches (we strongly recommend some 'real' airplane time in addition to simulator time), the total cost would be $300.
Inadvertent flight into IMC Package for VFR pilots ($115)
- 15 minute simulator familiarization flight in VMC
- 15 minute ground instruction on basic instrument flight
- 30 minutes basic flight maneuvers in the simulator, in IMC
- 30 minutes simulator time in VMC with 3 scenarios running into unexpected weather conditions
Engine Loss on Takeoff Package for VFR pilots ($85)
- 15 minute simulator familiarization flight in VMC
- 45 minutes simulator time running scenarios with power loss at various altitudes and various wind and terrain conditions
Emergency scenario training for IFR pilots ($125)
1.5 hours total simulator time and 5 emergency scenarios, including some of:
- Engine loss on takeoff
- Engine fire in flight
- Loss of communications in flight
- Unusual attitude recovery
- Flight into icing conditions
- Loss of vacuum system in IMC
- Pitot-static icing
We are also happy to customize a training experience for your desires, in the simulator, a real airplane, or a combination of both.
